Transport Department Assam Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Citizenship: Candidates must be Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.

Residentship:

(i) The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.

(ii) The candidate must produce PRC issued in Assam for educational purpose/ Employment Exchange Registration certificate will be treated as proof of residency.

Educational Qualification:

HSLC/HSSLC with 3 (three) years Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Institute of Govt. of Assam/Govt. of India and also duly recognized by AICTE.

Age Limit:

The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01/01/2024.

The upper age limit is relaxable :

(i) By 5 years for SC/ST candidates, i.e. upto 43 years.

(ii) By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i,e, upto 41 years

(iii) For Ex’Servicemen, the maximum age shall be 50 (Fifty) years as on 01/01/2024 as on 01/01/2024 for Unreserved category, relaxable further by 3 (Three) years for OBC/MOBC candidates and 5 (Five) years for SC/ST candidates.
