The Indian Air Force has announced the AFCAT (01/2024) recruitment for the Flying Branch, Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches, and NCC Special Entry for courses starting in January 2025. Interested candidates meeting the eligibility criteria can apply online.

Indian Air Force AFCAT Recruitment 2023 Vacancy Details:

1. AFCAT Entry:
   • Flying Branch: 38 posts
   • Ground Duty (Technical) Branch: 165 posts
   • Ground Duty (Non-Technical): 114 posts
2. NCC Special Entry:
   • Flying Branch: 10% seats from CDSE vacancies for PC and 10% seats from AFCAT vacancies for SSC.

Eligibility Criteria of Indian Air Force AFCAT Recruitment 2023:

• Age Limit:
  • Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years as of 01 January 2025.
  • Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical): 20 to 26 years as of 01 January 2025.
• Marital Status:
  • Candidates must be unmarried at the time of course commencement, and marriage is not allowed during training.
• Educational Qualification of Indian Air Force AFCAT Recruitment 2023:

Flying Branch: Candidates aspiring to join the Flying Branch must have achieved a minimum of 60% marks in Mathematics and Physics at the 10+2 level. Additionally, they should fulfill one of the following criteria:

• Graduation with a minimum three-year degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
• BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

Ground Duty (Technical) Branch – Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) {AE (L)}: Candidates should possess a minimum of 50% marks in Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level. Additionally, they must hold a minimum four-year degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/Technology from a recognized University OR have cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate membership examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers. The qualification should be in one of the specified disciplines with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

Ground Duty (Technical) Branch – Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) {AE (M)}: Similar to AE (L), candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks in Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level. Additionally, they should possess a minimum four-year degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/Technology from a recognized University OR have cleared Sections A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India. The qualification should be in one of the specified disciplines with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

• Weapon Systems (WS) Branch: Candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks each in Maths and Physics at the 10+2 level. Additionally, they should have:
  • Graduation with a minimum three-year degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
  • OR BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
• Administration & Logistics: Passed 10+2 and Graduate Degree (Minimum three years degree course) in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. Alternatively, candidates can clear section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
• Accounts Branch: Passed 10+2 and completed graduation in any of the following streams with 60 % marks or equivalent from a recognized university:
  • B. Com Degree (Min three years course).
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (with specialization in Finance)/ Bachelor of Management Studies (with specialization in Finance)/ Bachelor of Business Studies (with specialization in Finance).
  • Qualified CA/ CMA/ CS/ CFA.
  • B.Sc. with specialization in Finance.
• Education: Passed 10+2 and Post-Graduation with 50% marks in any discipline, including integrated courses offering PG (Single degree without permission to exit and lateral entry), and with 60% marks in Graduation in any discipline.
• Meteorology: Passed 10+2 and B Sc with Physics and Mathematics with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. Alternatively, a four-year Graduation in Engineering/Technology discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in specified streams, including but not limited to:

1. Scroll down to the Important Links section.
2. Click on “Apply Online”

(a) Application Form Filling:

1. Click on “CANDIDATE LOGIN” on the Home page, leading to AFCAT Sign-in.
2. If not registered, click on “NOT YET REGISTERED? REGISTER HERE.”
3. Sign Up: Create a Log-in ID, and you will receive a password in your registered email.
4. Sign in with the registered email and system-generated password.
5. Reset Password if needed, then log out. Remember your login ID and password for future use.
6. Log in again and select the desired entry: “AFCAT” or “NCC SPECIAL ENTRY FOR FLYING BRANCH.”
7. Click on “INSTRUCTIONS” and carefully read them.
8. Acknowledge understanding of instructions by checking the box to proceed.
9. Click on “FILL APPLICATION FORM.”

(aa) Personal Details:

• Fill in personal details and click “SAVE AND CONTINUE.”
• Confirm key details (Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, Gender) to proceed.
• Note: After confirmation, changes to DOB and Gender won’t be allowed later.

(ab) Qualification Details:

• Fill in qualification details and click “SAVE AND CONTINUE” to proceed.

(ac) Course Preference:

• Fill in course preferences and click “SAVE AND CONTINUE” to proceed.

(ad) Communication Details:

• Fill in communication details and click “SAVE AND CONTINUE” to proceed.

(ae) Upload Documents:

• Upload recent Photo, Signature & Thumb Impression (size: 10-50 KB each).
• Ensure correct file names (e.g., Signature.jpg, Passport Photograph.jpg, Thumb Impression.jpg).
• Invalid images will result in rejection during the selection process.

(af) Exam City Selection:

• Select the preferred exam city from the drop-down menu.

(ag) Declaration:

• Read the declaration and click “SAVE AND CONTINUE” to proceed.

(xi) Online Payment (applicable only for AFCAT):

• Click “MAKE PAYMENT.”

(xii) Payment Status:

• Click “PAYMENT STATUS” to verify successful payment. If a Registration Number is displayed, payment is successful.
