Name of the Post: Scientist ‘C’

Total No. of vacancies: One (01)

Level in the Pay Matrix: Level 1 1 (Rs. 67,700- 2,08,7001-)

Method of Recruitment: Deputation (including short-term contract)

Nature of the Post: Temporary

Period of Deputation: Three years or till the completion of the program, whichever is earlier.

DST Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Scientists or Technologists working in the Central Government or State Governments
or Universities or recognised research Institutions or Semi Government or Statutory or Autonomous organisations in India or abroad:

(i) holding analogous post on regular basis; or

(ii) with five years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular
basis in the pay band -3, Rs. 15600-39100 with grade pay of Rs’ 5400 (Level 10 as per VIIth CPC) or equivalent.

Educational Qualification & Experience of DST Recruitment 2024

Essential Qualification:

(i) Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognised university or equivalent’

(ii) Four years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic
Institutions or Science and Technology Organisation and scientific activities and
services

Desirable:

Doctorate Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences or Master’s Degree ln Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognised university or equivalent.
