**PwD vacancy for 1 post of Personal Assistant (Stenographer Gr-III) under Water Resources Department is Locomotor Disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims, and muscular dystrophy.

Eligibility Criteria of APSSB Recruitment 2023:

  • Citizenship: The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • Educational Qualification: Graduation/Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University.
  • Other Qualifications: Diploma in Stenography from a recognized Institution.
  • Age Limit: Between 18 to 35 years with 5 years relaxation for APST candidates.

Age Relaxation:

  • APST: Relaxable up to 5 years
  • PwD: 10 years upper age relaxation for PwD (15 years for APST)

Selection Process of APSSB Recruitment 2023:

Stage-1: Stenographer Proficiency Test

  • Duration: 5 minutes
  • Dictation Speed: 80 words per minute (wpm)
  • Transcription Time: 45 minutes (English)
  • Skill Test: Computer-based, with an average of 5 key depressions for each word
  • Mistake Allowance: 8% permissible mistakes in speed test; 10% for APST candidates
  • Trial Passage: Dictated to familiarize candidates with the mode of dictation and accents of pronunciation, followed by a test passage at an interval of one minute.

Stage-2: Objective Type Written Test (200 Marks)

The test will comprise the following subjects:

(a) General Awareness – 50 Marks (25 questions of 2 marks each)

Syllabus:

  • Designed to test the candidate’s General Awareness of the environment.
  • Focus on knowledge of Current Events, History, Polity, Constitution, Sports, Art & Culture, Geography, Economics, Everyday Science, Scientific Research, National/International Organizations/Institutions, etc.
  • State-specific questions may also be included.

(b) General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability – 50 Marks (25 questions of 2 marks each)

Syllabus:

  • Questions of both verbal and non-verbal types.
  • Test may include questions on analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, etc.

(c) Arithmetical & Numerical Ability – 50 Marks (25 questions of 2 marks each)

Syllabus:

  • Covering Number Systems, Simplification, Decimals, Data Interpretation, Fractions, L.C.M, H.C.F, Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs.

(d) Test of English Language and Comprehension – 50 Marks (25 questions of 2 marks each)

Syllabus:

  • Designed to test the candidate’s understanding and knowledge of English Language.
  • Questions based on spot the error, fill in the blanks, Synonyms, antonyms, spelling/detecting misspelled words, idioms & phrases, one-word substitution, improvement of sentences, active/passive voice of verbs, conversion into direct/indirect narration, shuffling of sentence parts, shuffling of sentences in a passage, cloze passage & comprehension passage.

Note:

  • Marks in Stenography Proficiency Test are qualifying only and not added to the aggregate.
  • Candidates qualifying the Stenography Proficiency Test will proceed to the Objective Type Written Test.
  • The written test comprises 100 multiple-choice questions with each question carrying 2 marks.
  • Duration of the written test: 2 hours.
  • No negative marking.
  • Candidates must qualify in Stage-1 to proceed further in the recruitment process.

  3. Complete the registration process by clicking “New User? Register Now.”
  4. Log in and fill in personal and educational details, uploading necessary documents.
  5. Pay the application fee and submit the form.
  6. Take a printout of the application form.

Application Fee:

  • APST candidates: Rs. 150/-
  • General candidates: Rs. 200/-
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD): Exempted from fees

Documents Required for Application:

  • Scanned signature (10-50 kb in jpg/png format).
  • Recent passport-size photo (50-100 kb in jpg/png format).

Shortlisted Candidates Document Verification:

  • Passport-size photograph.
  • Matriculation certificates for proof of date of birth.
  • Graduation certificate and mark sheet.
  • APST Certificate (if applicable).
  • Diploma in Stenography certificate.
  • Intimation letter for those in regular Govt. Service.
