Indian Navy has Recently Released an employment notification regarding for enrolment as sailors MR (Matric Recruit) for 350 vacancies (Approximately) in the Oct 2021 batch. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online here.

Indian Navy Recruitment 2021 Details

Post Name- MR (Matric Recruit)

Job Specifications- Chef, Steward & Hygienist

Total numbers of the post- 350(Approximately)

Pay Scale- During the initial training period, a stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month will be admissible. On successful completion of initial training, they will be placed in Level 3 of the Defence Pay Matrix (₹ 21,700- ₹69,100). In addition, they will be paid MSP @ ₹ 5200/- per month plus DA (as applicable).

Eligibility Criteria of Indian Navy Recruitment 2021

Educational Qualification- Candidate must have passed Matriculation Examination from the Boards of School Education recognised by Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.

Age- Candidates should be born between 01 Apr 2001 to 30 Sep 2004 (Both dates inclusive)

Selection Criteria of Indian Navy Recruitment 2021

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, an exception is being made in the public interest wherein approximately 1750 candidates will be called-up for written examination and PFT.

The shortlisting of the candidates for written examination and PFT will be undertaken on the basis of percentage of qualifying examination (10th examination). The cut off marks may vary from state to state as vacancies have been allocated in a state-wise manner.

Written Test


(a) The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and objective type.


(b) The question paper will comprise of two sections i.e. Science & Mathematics and General Knowledge.


(c) The standard of the question paper will be that of 10th
level and the syllabus for the examination is available on website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.


(d) Duration of examination will be 30 minutes.


(e) All candidates appearing for written examination would be subjected to PFT on the same day.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)


(a) Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is mandatory for selection.


(b) PFT will consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squats (Uthak Baithak) and 10 Push- ups. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk.

Merit lists for MR will be prepared based on performance in written examination subject to qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT).

Approximately 450 candidates will be issued call up letter for enrolment
medical examination at INS Chilka on the basis of state wise merit.

How to Apply in Indian Navy Recruitment 2021

For this entry, the candidates can apply ONLINE ONLY on the official website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in from 19 Jul to 23 Jul 21.

The procedure is as follows-


(a) Before filling online application, keep matric certificate ready for reference.


(b) Register yourself on www.joinindiannavy.gov.in with your e-mail ID, if not registered already. The Applicants must ensure that while filling their Application Form, they are providing their valid and active e-mail IDs and mobile numbers, which should not be changed till selection procedure is over.


(c) ‘Log–in’ with the registered E-mail ID and Click on “Current Opportunities”.


(d) Click on “Apply” (√) button.


(e) Fill up the Form completely. Before clicking the ‘Submit’ button make sure all the details are correct, all required documents are scanned in original & uploaded.


(f) Online applications will be further scrutinized for eligibility and may be rejected at any stage, if found ineligible in any respect.


(g) Photographs. THE PHOTOGRAPH TO BE UPLOADED SHOULD BE OF GOOD QUALITY WITH BLUE BACKGROUND.
